I'm not able to comment on the output you are seeing.  But, I do have one other
question.  Can you, or have you, tried to boot from a Live image, either from DVD or
USB device?

FWIW, I did do what was suggested after killing plasmashell with a -9 and got the
output.  Some parts are similar, others not.  Nothing jumps out at me as a clue. 
Also the system I'm running has a pre-release version of KDE on it....so it may add
more confusion than not.
