Have re-read some pages and have found it on this one:

  http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_SCM_admin_requests#New_Packages

  | Valid branch names currently used for Fedora: f17 f18 f19 el5 and el6.
  |
  | The devel branch is implicit and always created, so you need not list
  | it. (This implies that Branches: can be left blank if you only wish
  | for a devel branch.)
