Not to pick on just one part of your email, but I don't think it's as red herring as you claim. If you want to have an "Free" image to promote Fedora, for the image to do its job it has to have connection and representation to Fedora, so that when you see the image, you think Fedora. So while it wouldn't carry a trademark, for it to be successful it has to be a mark that one associates with Fedora. This means that inappropriate use of the mark, which we would not be able to legally correct, would then associate inappropriate things with Fedora. - -- Jesse Keating Fedora -- Freedom² is a feature! identi.ca: http://identi.ca/jkeating -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.16 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkyU69wACgkQ4v2HLvE71NUohQCgxLF2KSZBpdzEmG6DzRMrO9Cj jJYAn23Ola5iRWm7TSBLH98HBCk/sIS5 =stIj -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ advisory-board mailing list advisory-board@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/advisory-board
