Hi Giuliano, Thanks for reply. I'll send to the alsa list for now (too), it was probably your spam filter, as I did email back(?). Anyway, I installed (via my package manager) in '/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.32.tar.bz2' This is the only source file I could find in the Synaptic Package manager... I got the same output as before, when I tried to './configure' My actual Kernel in use is Linux 1.6.32-5-686, I'm guessing this may be a problem? I might be off base, but because my sound functioned prior to that "upgrade," I'm wondering if some how it got removed? Anyway, some clue as to getting this back in working order will, as usual, be appreciated. Henry P.s., I also tried '$ ./configure --with-kernel=dir /usr/src/linux' & './configure --with-kernel=dir /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.32.tar.bz2' perhaps that's not the correct form?
