Hello all, I have an M-Audio Delta 1010 ( 10 channels in, 10 channels out ) installed on the master node of a Linux graphics cluster built for running VR applications. One of these applications uses the FMOD library for doing 3D sound spatialization. However, it seems that FMOD expects the user to have a 5.1 (or 7.1) surround-sound card in order for the spatialization stuff to work. Is there a way I can set up my .asoundrc to create a virtual "plug" device that emulates a 5.1 card? The asoundrc page on the ALSA wiki seems to suggest that I can use the bindings feature to accomplish this, but the example given covers a quite different use-case and I'm a bit of an ALSA newbie. Any help to steer me in the right direction is greatly appreciated. - Karl ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What You Don't Know About Data Connectivity CAN Hurt You This paper provides an overview of data connectivity, details its effect on application quality, and explores various alternative solutions. http://p.sf.net/sfu/progress-d2d _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
