I'm Gentoo based, but Iknow for a fact it works on every major distribution out there so it'sreally more of a question why it isn't working for you. You don't provide enough information for anyone to give help easily.I'd like to see a few things to get started: uname -alspci Did you build your own kernel or are you using a packaged kernel?Possibly your packaged kernel doesn't turn on what you need? cd /usr/src/linuxcat .config | grep SOUNDcat .config | grep SND If you don't have the source installed but your kernel supports it youcan get the same information from /proc/config.gz Looking forward to changing your mind about sound on Linux.
