Hi Raul.
Will you run the alsa-info.sh script again, and repost the new link. All I get is a blank page when trying to access the present link (it may have timed out, and been removed).
Another thing, is that you may have to have more than one control slider up for the line in to produce sound. I know on my Archlinux install, where the soundcard on that machine is an Audigy2 soundblaster, I have to press F4 when alsamixer is open, and adjust some of the capture sliders to get sounds for line in. I'm not sure which at the moment, as it's not booted up, and as your soundcard may be different, you probably won't have the same controls as I have. It's worth having a look at your capture controls though.
Well I've just booted up Archlinux on the machine with the Audigy2 soundblaster card. With other distro's on this machine, I only have to have the line slider up to get sound output from the line in. Archlinux has alsamixer version 1.0.16, and has no slider for line on the playback view "F3". It does have an analog mix control though which needs to be up. Switching to "F4" for the capture options, I need to move to the line slider, press space bar to enable it, and push the line slider up. Then I get sounds from my TV card, which has a link cable from audio out on the TV card to line in on the soundcard.
What I've written above is only an example as to what I have to do to get sounds working from the line in on one distro (Archlinux)
All the best.
Nigel.
