Re: Using the 'multi' plugin

I've upgraded to the latest ALSA:
Driver version:     1.0.18a
Library version:    1.0.18
Utilities version:  1.0.18

And the 'multi' plugin now works properly! I can hear sound on both
devices.

However, although I gained this functionality (which was kind of
optional), I lost the ability to use the 'softvol' plugin, which was
very important for my setup. The upgrade made a small step forward, but
a large step backwards :(. 

I will post the new problem details in a new thread.
