Intel HDA with ALSA 1.0.17

Hi,

I've got Toshiba Tecra with Intel HDA (Realtek 262). I never got mic working but
otherwise all worked (except no mute when headphones inserted). Yesterday I
decided to try new 1.0.17 alsa drivers (I use 2.6.26 kernel), so I built
snd-intel-hda and realtek codec. But when I loaded the module the mixer looked
very simple (it obviously wasn't model benq which I used before). After little
testing I found out that the model option in alsa-base is somehow ignored. The
mixer looked the same no matter which model I selected (even if I put
nonexistent one it didn't complained). I can see that the model parameter was
accepted (in /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/model) but that's all. So why
am I talking about it. The mic is still not working (no wonder) but now my
headphones don't work either (only speakers). Any idea why?

Cheers,

eph
