Thanks > > Klaus > Everything should configure automatically, you shouldn't need to do separate configuration. However, you can manually configure things. Try putting the following in the file /etc/modprobe.conf alias snd-card-0 snd-ice1712 options snd-ice1724 index=0 alias snd-card-1 snd-hda-intel options snd-ice1724 index=1 This will set the 2496 as the default sound device in slot 0, and the hda intel as the sound device in slot 1 If the above doesn't work, could you run a script which provides more information about your sound setup and post the link back here?
