I'm having success with EMU-1212m v1 card and ADAT
Alesis AI3 using the mecurial drivers on my machine.
I'm using Gentoo (2.6.22-gentoo-r2). I dont use the
Gentoo ALSA drivers, but install them as modules,
after rebuilding the kernel. I specify ALSA in make
menuconfig, as well as the different stuff
inside..just dont use any of the actual PCI drivers.

After building my kernel and re-emerging for other
modules, (nvidia graphics, etc) I do a hq pull
hqcompile for the latest ALSA drivers.

after getting the drivers loaded, you will see the
ADATs in alsamixer. specify the DSPs to the ADAT.
then in qjackctl -> setup, you will need to specify
the hw0,2 and hw0,3 for input / output devices.

been making noises in ardour all evening. :-)
