No, I'm not implying there are (known) problems or alike. But the
changelogs for 1.0.14 explicitely mention adding support for
2.6.19.

Perhaps you'll find also something that applies to your problem, check

If there is nothing promising then an alsa update will not help you.

I have alsa-plugins on my TODO list for an age and a half. So if you'd

Hm, I haven't seen any strategic discussions - even less decisions on
the audio system in Fedora and For F7 it seems a bit to late for
larger changes.
