How to setup OSS emulation for /dev/midi ==> TiMidity server connection?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I'm running TiMidity in ALSA server mode (-iA) at my soundcard
without any native MIDI support. It works well using ALSA playback or
OSS emulation of /dev/sequencer.

However, what I need is to play using [better and simpler] /dev/midi
API, but it doesn't work. Is there any way to enable /dev/midi device
to play using TiMidity?

I tried to do some virtual MIDI wiring using virmidi, but no success.

Many thanks,
Marek P.
