hi all. im running a sun sparc, with debian etch installed, kernel 2.6 i got me a creative labs audigy se, (cheapest i found quickly) and installed it in my box. on the hardware side, all seems to be ok - the card is listed with lspci on the software side ... i have the packages alsa-base, alsa-source, alsa-utils, among others, installed. running alsaconf gives me the message "No supported PnP or PCI card found" alsactl doesn't find any cards, either. kernelsides, the modules snd and soundcore are installed right now. i installed the alsa-source package and followed its instructions. however, running "make-kpkg --rootcmd=fakeroot ..." gives me the reply /usr/src/modules/alsa-driver failed perhaps /usr/src/modules/alsa-driver does not understand --rootcmd ? when i run make-kpkg as root, without rootcmd, i just get the message [hwdep.o] Error 1 [compile] Error 1 [build-stamp] Error 2 [kdist-image] Error 2 /usr/src/modules/alsa-driver failed next, i tried following the instructions provided at http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=Creative+Labs&card=Sound+Blaster+Audigy+SE.&chip=CA0106&module=ca0106 modinfo soundcore returns that i have this module. ./configure worked without any error messages, but make didnt. full log is below. so, right now i'm pretty helpless here any support is appreciated -- "Ein Herz für Kinder" - Ihre Spende hilft!
