This log is pointless until the install issues are resolved.  It seems
likely you have a filesystem full situation.

Ok, attached is the output from the install of 4.5.99.21 that failed
when trying to install xterm.  I've got 351MB of space on the root
filesystem, where /usr/X11R6 lives.

But this doesn't explain how you ended up with a mix of module versions, as `make install` occurs in xc/programs/xterm _before_ it does in xc/programs/Xserver.

Anyway, try `make -k install install.man`. That'll leave only xterm's setgid glitch to deal with.
