This may be what you are looking for. In my .Xdefaults file
I have a l ine that says:
   xterm*scrollLines: 10000

From the man page on xterm:
    scrollLines (class ScrollLines)
Specifies the number of lines that the scroll-back
and scroll-forw actions should use as a default.
       The default value is 1.
Hope this helps.

    Hi guys!

    It's a shame, I can't change the history from
xterm, thus I exchange the mouse wheel by 'less'.

    All happens in:

- XFree86 Version 4.3.0
- Slackware linux 9.1
- XFCE 3.88

    Any help is welcome.

Thanks, Gilmar.

It's my lucky day. This question was solved in:

http://www.ualberta.ca/CNS/hyperdispatch/HyperDispatch2/Xterm.html

In fact, after insert this lines in ~/.Xdefaults:

xterm*saveLines: 16384
xterm*scrollBar: true

   And run this command:

$ xrdb .Xdefaults

   All works.

   Thanks a lot!
