From the man page on xterm:scrollLines (class ScrollLines) Specifies the number of lines that the scroll-back and scroll-forw actions should use as a default. The default value is 1. Hope this helps. Steve S.

In fact, after insert this lines in ~/.Xdefaults:
xterm*saveLines: 16384 xterm*scrollBar: true
And run this command:
$ xrdb .Xdefaults
All works.
