  I assume that your xfs is running into trouble with some fonts.
A potential culpit could be the ArialUnicode TTF or a openType Font.

  That you could not access the fixed font also indicates that your
xfs and/or font directories are misconfigured. Try to use instead of the
unix/:7000 in the fontpath the diretories (each directory in a new line
with the
Fontpath keyword) where you have stored your fonts.

  So far I have never understood why people start a xfs on a single
machine.

  On the other hand try to find find a test-case which crashes your xfs
and look with lynx or any other text-browser what font actually crashes
your
xfs. Remove this font from your font directory.

  Your crashing due 'could not open default font 'fixed'' you have to
declare
one font as your fixed font. In most cases you have to modify one
font.alias
file.
