I've heard of other people that have had problems with modeline settings causing strange sorts of >problems. I'm sure you're sick of all of this, but have you gone through a number of other >(slower) refresh rates?
Well I tried them all :-)
I guess I really am still desperate. But unfortunately none of those worked either :( But thanx for the try
