I'm running a diskless machine mounting read-only the /usr filesystem via NFS. Setxkbmap with any keyboard map fails saying that it can't load the keyboard map and even configuring the keyboard in /etc/X11/XF86Config yields the same result: (**) Mouse0: Core Pointer (**) Option "Device" "/dev/sysmouse" (**) Mouse0: Emulate3Buttons, Emulate3Timeout: 50 (==) Mouse0: Buttons: 3 (II) Keyboard "Keyboard0" handled by legacy driver (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Mouse0" (type: MOUSE) --> Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap (II) Server_Terminate keybinding not found (II) Mouse0: SetupAuto: hw.iftype is 4, hw.model is 0 (II) Mouse0: SetupAuto: protocol is SysMouse If I mount the filesystem in read/write mode setxkbmap seems to work, but this is something I'd like to avoid. I couldn't find out if there is any way to workaround this problem. Any clue? -- walter pelissero http://www.pelissero.de _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list XFree86@xxxxxxxxxxx http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
