It told the dynamic loader where to find the new dynamic libraries. After installing any new dynamic libraries you must run ldconfig. If you were to run ldd on xterm or xclock before running ldconfig, it would have pointed out that libXft.so was unresolved. Mark. On Wed, 9 Jun 2004, James M.
