Need help on error "No Screens found"

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hey there, I'm from Brazil, and have not very time
using linux.

I needed to re-install my Slackware Linux 9.0 and
since I did it, XFree86 didn't work. It apears the "No
screens found" error, and there is a Screen section in
/etc/X11/XF86Config, using the VESA device and the
correct horiz and vert ranges 30 - 86  and  50 - 160.
These numbers are correct for 107 T philips monitor.

I need some help, please.

Thanks,

Lourenzo

# NOTE: This is a NEW IMPROVED version of XF86Config-fbdev that uses the vesa
# driver instead of the fbdev driver. Thanks to Kenneth Fanyo who pointed
# this out to me. :)
# This XF86Config file is designed for use with the VESA framebuffer.
# This generic interface should work with nearly all video cards
# (although not every card will support every resolution).
# With the new driver, it should no longer be required to have frame buffer
# support in the kernel, or to run it on the console.
#
# Enjoy! :)
