Debian 3.0 'woody' (stable) was running a rather dated version the last time I checked, and you may need to use a newer version of XFree86. One means of installing a newer version of XFree86 on Debian is using <http://www.backports.org/>. I don't know about the FireGL T2 128MB off-hand, so I don't know which chipset it is based upon, and if it is a newer chipset it may not be supported or fully supported yet.
