Currently with debian to compile any 64bit program you need to replace your libc, just untill the new libc hits the mirrors. This workes great AFAIK. I got the following error while building xfree86 CVS. make[6]: Entering directory `/root/xfree86/head/xc/lib/GL/mesa/src/SPARC' rm -f xform.i cpp -Dlinux -D__sparc__ -D_POSIX_C_SOURCE=199309L -D_POSIX_SOURC grep -v '^\#' > xform.i rm -f xform.o gcc -c -x assembler -o xform.o xform.i xform.i: Assembler messages: xform.i:6: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op xform.i:9: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op xform.i:9: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op xform.i:9: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op xform.i:11: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op xform.i:11: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op xform.i:11: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op xform.i:13: Error: detected global register use not covered by .register pseudo-op AND TONES MORE. I don't realy care about building libGL for my mach64(ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage Pro 215GP (rev 5c)), though debian dose not yet have support fot the GP. Dose any one have a workaround for me? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
