The server thinks your 1280x1024 mode is the default mode and the server switches comes up in that. You may have some weird keyboard thing going on and the <ctrl><alt><+/-> that is used to switch modes is mapping to something else. Removing all the modes other than the 1280x1024 mode from the Modes line should fix that in any case. 2) Remove your VideoRam line from the Section "Device". The driver will autodetect the amount and you definitely do not have 64 Meg (16 or 32 is more like it). 3) Your kernel doesn't appear to have MTRR support this will cost you much performance.
