Monitor Resolution

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have install the latest Slackware Linux 9.1 distribution which has XFree86 4.3.0. I have an old nVidia RIVA TNT2 graphics adapter and a Hitachi CM650 ET 17'' monitor. I'm also using kernel 2.4.22. My problem is that although I can't find any problems on the log, my x session are stack on a 1024x768 resolution. I'd like a higher resolution but when i try to use a 1152x864 or a 1280x1024 resolution, although at first it seems like the session is going to start that way, in about a second it switches back to 1024x768. I'd really appreciate any kind of help on my problem because I can't do my job with such a small resolution.

Thanks in advance.
