Hi, I can affirm this,

AGPMode 2, EnablePageFLip off, AGPFastWrite off works
anything else except AGPMode 1 freezes my machine over.

XFree86 version: 4.3.99.15
Linux 2.4.22-ck2 SMP
Hercules Prophet 3D 9000 128MB
Tyan Tiger MP board with dual AMD Thunderbird 1.4GHz 
1GB memory
