   We can't support NVIDIA's binary drivers but we can support the
"nv" driver.  The "nv" driver in 4.3.0 should work fine with DVI on 
GeForce3 Ti500.  The CrtcNumber option isn't used on the GeForce3
as that option is only for dual-head cards.  I'll need to see
the /var/log/XFree86.0.log when running the "nv" driver to diagnose
why it's not working.
