Video Troubles - Paradise Pipeline / AOC 5VlrA

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All,

Having a devil of a time getting acceptable video out
of a AMD K5-166, PCI BIOS 2.10 MB/CPU, and a Paradise
Pipeline PCI 8 (using WD9710 chip) 2mb video card,
with an AOC Spectrum 5VlrA SVGA monitor...

According to the Monitor data it will handle 30-69 x 50-120,
with a bandwidth of 85. Card SHOULD do btr than 800x600x256,
but all I'm able to get out of it is 640x480x4 resolution.

I've fiddled with the XF86Setup and the config file manually
and can't get any better, and normally end up with 320x200.

Slack v7.0, XFree86 v3.3.5 (8/3/99), Linux v2.2.5 i586 [ELF]

Please help...
