RH Linux 7.1 XFree86 4.0.3-5 Dell 1500FP flat panel monitor Voodoo3, 16 MB video card Using 1024 x 768 res Pent III, 256 MB
Intermittant video breakup: text blurs, then window contents disappear when attempt to close it, leaving just the frame. Can usually correct by restarting X, but sometimes have to reboot to restore the graphics. Seems unrelated to available mem or to type of running app. Can someone please look at my XF86 config and suggest any corrections or tweaks that might help? Could it be overheating video card, tho no such symptoms occur in MS Windows? Thank you. John T.
