Using XFree86 4.2.0
(as distributed by Slackware 8.1 (kernel 2.4.18))

The XKB settings are:
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel" "pc102"
Option "XkbLayout" "se"

This works fine when starting X under /root (super user).

However, when starting X under a "normal" user I get
the following error:

The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:
>Error bad length in Symbols
> Output file "/var/tmp/server-0.xkm" removed
........ falling back to pre XKB keymap

Just can't figure out what's the difference. Any one having
an idea.

Hans.
