Hello All; I am trying to run XWindows on a PIII with a rage 128 video board. I need to use and older version of RH (RH6.2) in hopes of not breaking anything else. So far it has been a diaster. Xconfig will recognise the card as a Rage 128 SM. The driver version 4.7 seems to run but cannot detect the chipset then aborts. I have installed RH6.2 version -29 of XFree and still have the same problem. I would like to run 640X480 or 800X600 resolution. Is there a simple fix for this? I tried using XFree86 4.1.0. for my glibc I ran the install and rebooted. This was not good. It did not detect any video card. Plus Xconfigure seemed to not generate the correct script.
