Hi folks, I'm new to the list, so sorry if this has been asked before. I couldn't find a searchable archive of the list(s) and Google turned up nothing. Some background on the system - this is a new machine with an Intel 845GBV board. So, no support for the onboard video in XFree86 4.2. I'm running Mandrake Linux 9.0 on the box. I downloaded XFree86 from CVS - a branch from 09162002 I believe - it was recommended on the xfree86.org site (some problems with compiling the latest versions in cvs were mentioned). However, when I try to make World, I get the following: cc -c -O -I../../include -I../../imports/x11/include/X11 `./ccimake` imake.c cc -o imake -O -I../../include -I../../imports/x11/include/X11 imake.o make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/xc/config/imake' rm -f ./config/makedepend/Makefile.proto ./config/imake/imake -I./config/cf -s ./config/makedepend/Makefile.proto -f ./config/makedepend/Imakefile -DTOPDIR=../.. -DCURDIR=./config/makedepend ./config/imake/imake: No such file or directory ./config/imake/imake: Cannot exec /lib/cpp. Stop. ./config/imake/imake: Exit code 1. Stop. make[1]: *** [config/makedepend/Makefile.proto] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/xc' make: *** [World] Error 2 I've read through the docs, and I'm really lost when it comes to configuring the site and host config files. I'm not sure if the problem is that I need to make a change to one of those files or if it is something else. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it!
