Re: wrong font resolution

Had exactly the same problem. It vanished after a re-install (nono don't
worry, I don't think this is necessary) and the only difference I could notice
in XF86Config was the *order* of the font paths. This doesn't appear on my
machine anymore.

Here's the section from my config, compare to yours:

Section "Files"
    RgbPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb"
    ModulePath "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules"
    FontPath "/usr/local/share/fonts/ttfonts/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/local/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/"
    FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/"
# FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled"
# FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled"

EndSection

Note that unsclaed fonts have been commented out, maybe that did the trick,
maybe not - who knows. Lemme know if that helped.
