Hmmm, I am no expert, but it sounds like you have two problems: 1) Your mouse is misconfigured 2) Your are running raw X w/o any window manager. If I were you I'd send: a) Your XF86Config file; b) your /var/log/XFree86.0.log c) your video card Otherwise your not likely to get any help, because no-one will no what the problem is.
