[Newbie]Can't find /usr/X11R6 or /etc/X11 on Mac OS X

Hello:
I've installed XFree86 on Mac OS 10.1.4 using Xinstall.sh. The
installation has not been successful and I'd like to uninstall. (Next
time I'll use Fink).

A note in the archives advises the removal of:

/usr/X11R6
/etc/X11
/Applications/XDarwin.app

However, the first two directories don't exist on my drive. And there is
all sorts of other stuff at the root level. (.vol, automount, mach,
mach_kernel, mach_sys, /cores/). I guess I've installed Darwin along
with xFree86.

Can someone give me the definitive list of what needs to be removed?
