Thank you for the detailed response but do you suppose you could elaborate a bit more on using a different X11? Like I said before, my experience with Macs is a bit limited.
You could install X11 from either Fink or Macports and then build
Darwine using them. I have no use at this time for OpenGL as none of
the programs I run uses it. I use Fink for my ported software and
additionally recommend visiting the Fink web site for more information.
