Yes, esddsp is included in esound.


I found the entry in bugzilla: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312665 It seems they left the patch alone. :-( I hope the patch works against our esd version without too much trouble.

Most, if not all, Esound patches are left alone...


About polypaudio as far as I know its unmaintained. Besides that it
would probably be quite some work to switch our thinclients of using esd
to polyp.

PA is certainly not unmaintained. We have recently contributed support for MS Windows as well as Solaris, in addition to the ALSA plugin. I think a new version will be released in a near future.

One nice thing about the PA server is that it's support Esound as well. This makes a transition easy.
