The project is within the framework of the Doctorate of National Interest "Earth processes and management of resources and risks for a resilient society and territory" (Coordinator Prof. Roberto Sulpizio). The PhD project will deal with modelling of gas and particle dispersal from both quiescent and erupting volcanoes using already existing numerical codes and supercomputing facilities. The impact on territory and society will be evaluated on selected areas expressly chosen.
