This GRC conference will be held August 13-18, 2023 at Mount Snow, Vermont. The
GRS is focused on students and early career researchers and will
immediately precede the GRC on August 12-13, 2023.


Carl Storm Underrepresented Minority Fellowship: Eligible participants can
apply to this $1000 fellowship when they apply to attend the GRC.

Eligibility criteria is set by GRC:

   1. Position: Graduate students, post doc, faculty, or research scientist
   (i.e. Any Scientist!)
   2. Ethnicity/Race: Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native;
   Black or African American; Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.
   3. Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or permanent resident with a â??Green Cardâ??
   (includes Puerto Rico).
   4. Affiliation: Currently working at any U.S. institution.
   5. Must be your first GRC.


To apply for the CSURM fellowship, an applicant must first submit an online
application to the GRC they wish to attend. Once the conference application
is received, please visit your My GRC page and look for the CSURM
fellowship application icon located on the toolbar on the right hand side
of information for the corresponding meeting. Applicants who meet the above
criteria are encouraged to apply for the fellowship early. Support is
limited and available on a first-come first-served basis. More information

NSF Funding: Funding is available to cover registration fees (including
lodging and meals) for a limited number of students and early career
participants. Although funds are from NSF, there are no geographic
restrictions on eligibility. You may apply for these funds in addition to
the CSURM.

   2. Be one of the following, as of the application date:
   1. a graduate student working in geochronology or using geochronology in
      their research

OR

   1. an early career professional working in geochronology or using
   geochronology in their research (Graduated with a degree in geology or
   related science with terminal degree within the past five years)

   1. A one-page explanation of your professional goals (academic,
   industry, government or otherwise), with specific reference to how your
   goals are related to geochronology and how your attendance at the 2023
   Geochronology GRC and/or GRS will help you reach these goals.
   2. Your CV
   3. The title and abstract you intend to submit to the GRC and/or GRS.
   You may submit the same or different posters to the two conferences.


Applications will be evaluated by a committee that will consider the
applicant's ability to contribute to the science of the GRC/GRS, and the
relevance and quality of their abstract(s).
