We are looking for a highly motivated collaborator, holding a PhD, or having carried out, for three years after the degree, technological and/or professional activity at Universities or qualified public and private research institutions and centres, including foreign ones, with a proven experience in: - sample preparation techniques; - knowledge of the chemical/physical principles of electron microscopy, microprobe and laser ablation and plasma coupled mass spectroscopy; - analytical procedures in electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and LA-ICP-MS; - use of instruments and methodologies for the study of magmas, volcanic rocks, magmatic and geothermal fluids. - management of technical and IT problems related to the above mentioned devices. In addition to these specific activities, the selected candidate will also participate in the installation, calibration and optimization of the new LA-ICP-MS instrumentation, in the implementation of the analytical facilities toward innovative methods of data acquisition, and will support the external users during remote access to the labs.
