If you work on hydrovolcanic eruptions, hydro- or geothermal systems,
volcanic lakes, volcanic floods or debris flows, especially in the American
Cordillera, please contribute to the GSA Cordilleran Section Meeting
session entitled, â??The Dynamics of Hydrovolcanic and Geothermal Systemsâ??
(abstracts accepted Nov. 2nd, 2020 to Feb. 9th, 2021). Contributions are
encouraged from all related fields, including physical volcanology,
planetary science, and geomorphology. This meeting is being held on May
12-14, 2021 in Reno, Nevada (or virtually).

The Dynamics of Hydrovolcanic and Geothermal Systems:
In the American Cordillera, volcano-hydrosphere interactions are common,
producing hydrothermal systems, >95% of American geothermal power, and
influencing eruption dynamics and products. Therefore, this
multi-disciplinary session brings together studies on phreatomagmatism,
phreatic eruptions, hydro- and geothermal systems, volcanic lakes, volcanic
floods and debris flows, submarine eruptions, and glaciovolcanism.
