Science meets Practice* <https://sites.google.com/site/etnapizzideneri/>". The school is addressed to *MSc holders*, *PhD students *and *postdoctoral researchers*, whose major scientific interest concerns the geochemistry of volcanoes. Internationally renowned experts will supervise students during a unique field experience carried out in a spectacular volcanic scenery and will provide them with the opportunity to experiment and evaluate new protocols and techniques used for volcanic fluid emissions studies. Information concerning the Training School, along with application instructions and selection criteria are detailed below: *Location and Dates* The school will be held at the *Osservatorio Vulcanologico Pizzi Deneri* (2,850 m a.s.l.) on *Mt. Etna* (Italy) from *22nd to 27th of July 2019*. *Program* Classical and innovative direct sampling and remote sensing techniques are going to be presented during theoretical lectures as well during practical exercises in the field. The program is available on the website *Note:* The program can be modified due to weather conditions or/and volcanic activity. *Participation fee* The cost of the school is *300 â?¬*, which includes inscription fee, accommodation (5 nights), meals and transportation (Catania - observatory, and back; field activities). The participation fee does not cover the travel expenses to Catania (Italy). *Note:* two grants will be allocated to two students admitted to the â??*Etna International Training School of Geochemistry, 2019*â??. The grants will be given by the *SoGeI* <http://www.societageochimica.it/> (Società Geochimica Italiana) and the Geode <http://www.associazionegeode.it/> Associazione Naturalistica and will *only* cover the participation fee. *Selection criteria* The available positions are* 16* and are going to be distributed between applicants of all levels mentioned above.
