Additionally, we are planning to publish a special volume on the same topics in Frontiers in Earth Sciences. The session 6f will concern the following subjects: - Magma-rock and melt-rock interactions in different geodynamic environments on Earth; - Magma-rock and melt-rock interactions on other planetary bodies in the Solar System; - Assimilation-crystallization processes; - Melt interaction with the magmatic mush; - Mantle metasomatism; - Kinetics and thermodynamics of the melt-rock interactions; - Petrologic and geochemical consequences of the magma-rock and melt-rock interactions; - Theoretical, numerical, and laboratory experimental and analytical approaches that address how magma, melt, magmatic mush and rock interact are welcome as are studies based on natural samples; - Studies that combine theoretical, numerical, and laboratory experimental and analytical approaches are particularly welcome.
