I am writing you invite you to submit an abstract to our session *T13 The
Yellowstone Hotspot Province: Prehistory, Timing, Extent, Volcanic
Products, and Hydrothermal Consequences* at the upcoming 2019 GSA
Cordilleran Section meeting in Portland, Oregon, May. 15-17.

Abstract deadline: 5 February 2019



This session will focus on volcanism of the Yellowstone hotspot, including
Mioceneâ??Quaternary units of the Columbia River Basalts, Snake River Plain,
High Lava Plains, and northern Nevada. Included topics: timing and extent;
Oligocene and earlier precursor magmatism; magma dynamics and crustal
melts; consequences of associated hydrothermal activity; and crustal
modification. (Both oral & poster.)
