**** Fully-funded PhD studentship in volcano deformation modelling ****

"Exploring the influence of trans-crustal magmatic systems on
volcano deformation"

Location: Cornwall, UK (University of Exeter, Penryn Campus
<https://www.exeter.ac.uk/cornwall/about/penryn-campus/> - near the beach!)
Supervisor: Dr James Hickey
<https://emps.exeter.ac.uk/csm/staff/jh877> (University

This project will develop, test, and apply numerical modelling techniques
that investigate how new conceptual models of trans-crustal magmatic
systems can be applied to the interpretation of volcano deformation data.
The project and funding are open to students of *any nationality*. The
project will suit an applicant with experience in one or more of the
following: volcano deformation, geodetic data processing, computational
modelling, solid mechanics or fluid dynamics.
