Dear volcano community,

This is a preliminary heads-up notice that a new postdoc position will become open in the near future at the physical volcanology group at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University.

The postdoctoral research scientist will use numerical models to study lava flow emplacement, through an NSF funded project.

Candidates should have a PhD in geophysics, applied math/physics, computer science or related fields. Experience with numerical modeling and computational fluid mechanics is highly desirable.
