Dear all,
Stromboli volcano (Eolian Islands, Italy) has recently been in a relatively active phase with spectacular strombolian explosions occurring every few minutes from a cluster of 5-6 summit vents.
Exceptionally good weather allowed detailed observations of this activity and views of the crater terrace. For those who might be interested to see what Stromboli has been doing last week, there is a selection of images taken during 9-16 June 2017:
