Subject: Early Career workshop at IAVCEI Scientific Assembly

Dear colleagues,
As you may have heard, there are a number of events planned for the IAVCEI Scientific Assembly in Portland, Oregon, August 14-18, that are specifically geared towards early career researchers (defined as students and scientists within 10 years of their terminal degree).
Included among these activities is a pre-meeting workshop targeting students and post-docs (but open to all interested attendees) about "Navigating the Publication Process." The workshop will be held on August 13 and be led by Shan de Silva (Oregon State University) and Nancy Riggs (Northern Arizona University). You can register for the half-day workshop when you sign up for the conference (early-bird registration deadline is June 1) or independent of the conference as a field-trip / workshop only registration. The cost for the workshop is $80.
