Dear all,
We are looking for a Ms student to apply for a PhD grant in geodynamics and seismology
We propose a thesis on the structure and dynamics of the lithosphere around La Réunion hotspot. We have to find a good candidate before April 28, 2017 to apply for a PhD grant.
This work will benefit from exceptional datasets recorded during the FOREVER oceanographic campaign and the french-german RHUM-RUM project (http://rhum-rum.net/en): (1) seismic data from 53 OBS deployed between Madagascar and the Central Indian ridge and from more than 30 seismic stations located in the SW Indian Ocean; (2) more than 10,000 km of High-resolution seismic reflection data around La Réunion; (3) multibeam bathymetry covering the study zone.
The thesis should start in October 2017 at University of La Réunion. Our lab is part of IPGP (www.ipgp.fr).
