The Department of Earth Science at Utah Valley University (UVU) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Geology, to begin August 2017. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in geology or a closely related field at the time of appointment and expertise in igneous and/or metamorphic petrology. Responsibilities will include teaching introductory geology and upper division courses in earth materials and petrology, engaging in research and supervision of undergraduate research, and service to the institution. Excellent teaching skills and a strong commitment to effective teaching are necessary.
